Status SEM310 MKII (SEM310X II) Temperature Transmitters

Status Instruments SEM310 is a top of the range, in-head temperature transmitter.  The current model, SEM310 MKII – released late 2017 – provides options for dual, universal inputs and HART diagnostics on the 4-20mA analogue output.  The SEM310X version provides this with ATEX and IECEx compliance options to boot.

Status SEM310 MKII and SEM310X MKII Temperature Transmitters

  • Generic HART 5, 6 and 7 output transmitter
  • Dual sensor input (highest/lowest/average/redundancy or maths output)
  • Universal input from a range of RTD, thermocouple, mV, resistance or slide wire devices
    • 2/3/4 wire RTD options (single input for 3 or 4 wire only)
  • PC configuration via USB (with ATEX USB cable in compliance with latest standards)
    • Free of charge configuration software
  • Ex ia IIC T4 Ga, Ex ia IIIC T135 Da ATEX and IECEx compliance (SEM310X MKII)
  • Galvanic isolation flash tested 5Secs @ 4 KV DC, working voltage 50 V AC
  • Sensor burnout protection (programmable for upscale or downscale burnout)
  • Sensor matching option
  • 4-20mA Output simulation for calibration and maintenance checks
  • Compact Ø44mm x 24mm deep footprint, fixings on standard 33mm crs
  • BS EN 61326-1 compliant (sensor wires must be <3m).

In compliance with the latest ATEX standards, the SEM310X temperature transmitter is configured using a certified USB cable (see photos).  This is required for all ATEX transmitter configurations, even when the configuration is to take place in the safe area.  The standard SEM310 (safe area only) transmitter can be configured using a standard mini USB cable (“camera cable”).

For lower spec applications, consider the SEM210 (and SEM210X ATEX) transmitters.
