VEGA EL 1 conductive level sensor is used in conductive liquids as overfill protection, pump control or dry run protection in vessels and pipelines. When the electrodes of the sensor come in contact with a conductive liquid (creating the circuit), resistance drops between the instrument and tank. When combined with an appropriate signal conditioner, the electronics responds by triggering a switch command.
VEGA EL 1 is suitable for higher temperatures due to PTFE insulation. The point level device has a single rod up to 4 m long. A VEGATOR 131 conditioner is required for operation (or the VEGATOR 132 for controlling two sensors). VEGA EL series are for conductive liquids only. It is a simple, easy to clean technology with no moving parts.
VEGA EL 1 Conductive Level Sensor features and benefits…
VEGA EL 1 is a simple rod design, for use with metal (conductive) tanks to complete the switch circuit. For plastic and non-conductive tanks, consider multi probe switches, such as the VEGA EL 4 Conductive Level Sensor. Note the VEGA EL 4 design is suitable up to 120C and does not use PTFE insulation.
