H&B Sensors LFS100 Series Threaded Float Switches

H&B Sensors LFS100 series is a range of threaded float level switches.  These are simple, volt free switches for top entry mounting.  Float level switches are traditional technology, suitable for low viscosity media (conductive or otherwise).  For sludge applications we generally recommend non contact technology, or “mud level switches” which are not affected by sticking of the float.  Please contact the Fluidic sales team for help with your level monitoring application.

Wetted materials of the LFS100 series float switches are generally 316SS, please ask Fluidic for other options.  Float dimensions are 28mm OD x 9.5mm ID x 27mm long.  Consideration should be given to the opening size to allow the float entry to the tank.  We can offer threaded connections of 1″, 1.5″ and 2″ BSPP, BSPT or NPT.  For flanged connections please consider the LFS300 series.  Particularly on longer level switches, please consider the withdrawal length to allow mounting and removal of the float switch for maintenance.

There are various options available including hazardous area approvals ATEX Exd and IECEx Exd. The volt free contact switching function can be specified as normally open, normally closed or changeover to suit your particular application.
