Honeywell ISA100 One Wireless Adapter (OWA)

Honeywell OneWireless™ Network is an industrial wireless mesh network capable of simultaneously supporting ISA100 Wireless field instruments (transmitters, actuators, etc) and, where beneficial, Wi-Fi devices and Ethernet/IP-based devices.  The Honeywell OneWireless™ ISA100 wireless network for wireless field product communications is composed of the Wireless Device Manager (WDM), Field Device Access Point (FDAP) and Honeywell OneWireless XYR6000 series transmitters.

In some cases, legacy instrumentation – or instrumentation outwith the scope of ISA100 wireless supply –  may wish to be incorporated into the ISA100 wireless mesh network.  Traditional 4-20mA (wired) instrumentation may have its process variable transmitted wirelessly through the use of XYR6000 Universal Input/Output devices.  Where SMART transmitters are employed, the Honeywell One Wireless Adapter (OWA) can be used to communicate a HART signal with diagnostic and PV information via the wireless ISA100 protocol.  The One Wireless Adapter, OWA, can be used with any instrumentation from any vendor utilising a HART data protocol.

The ISA100 Wireless field product technology employed by Honeywell is a non vendor specific, wireless field product communications technology.  Any ISA100 enabled wireless device may communicate through Honeywell’s OneWireless system.
