Honeywell SmartLine SMV800 Multivariable Transmitter

Honeywell SmartLine SMV800 Multivariable Transmitter combines integrated sensor and microprocessor technologies as well as dynamic flow compensation to produce the most accurate and consistent flow measurement for gases, steam and liquids. It helps improve process efficiency and enhance plant performance. This instrument uses dynamic compensation algorithms compatible with a variety of flow elements and global engineering standards.

Honeywell SMV800 measures differential pressure and absolute or gauge pressure from a single sensor and temperature from a standard Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) or thermocouple. This transmitter measures three separate variables to calculate compensated mass or volume flow rate as fourth variable. The flow calculations are based on industry standard methods for air, gases, steam or liquids. In its flow calculation, SMV800 includes compensation of pressure, temperature and complex variables such as viscosity, discharge coefficient, thermal expansion factor, velocity of approach factor and gas expansion factor
