VEGA EL 8 Conductive Level Sensor

VEGA EL 8 conductive level sensor is used in conductive liquids as overfill protection, pump control or dry run protection in vessels and pipelines. VEGA EL 8 is the entry level, single probe for use with metal (conductive) tanks.  The electrode is paired with the tank wall.  When the electrode is immersed in a conductive liquid, it creates a circuit.  When combined with an appropriate signal conditioner, the electronics responds by triggering a switch command.

This point level device has a single rod up to 3 m long. A VEGATOR 131 conditioner is required for operation (or the VEGATOR 132 for controlling two sensors).  VEGA EL series are for conductive liquids only.  It is a simple, easy to clean technology with no moving parts.

VEGA EL 8 is a simple rod design, for use with metal (conductive) tanks to complete the switch circuit.  For plastic and non-conductive tanks, consider multi probe switches, such as the VEGA EL 4 Conductive Level Sensor.  For high temperature designs consider the VEGA EL 1 Conductive Level Sensor.
