H&B Sensors RTD601 Air Temperature Assembly is designed for accurately measuring the temperature of still or moving air. The sensing element of this probe is protected from damage by a vented housing, but still exposed enough to the airflow to quickly detect changes in temperature. We can offer aluminium, plastic or stainless steel versions to fit any application. With wall mounting options for room monitoring and outdoor accessories in order to measure the air temperature without interference from wind, rain and other environmental factors. An optional in-head temperature transmitter can be fitted to provide a 4-20mA output. A variety of materials and versions are available. The resistance value at each temperature point is compliant with a regulated standard. The European standard for Pt100 is IEC 60751.

As the output of an RTD is resistance dependent, consideration should be given to the lead wires within the probe from the sensor itself. For this reason, Fluidic more commonly supply 3 or 4 wire RTD sensors. The 3rd and 4th wires are used for resistance compensation. Where the signal is to travel any distance, Fluidic recommend the use of a 4/20mA transmitter. We supply various transmitter options and can supply the transmitter and RTD temperature sensor pre-assembled.
