The KSR Kuebler Bypass Level Indicator indicates liquid level measurement in your tank via simple float & follower technology. The design is to externally mount to your vessel/tank, similar to traditional sight glass level indicator except without the fragile glass design associated. Along with the rugged design, bypass technology is not prone to the visual restrictions associated with a cloudy or dirty media.
The KSR Kuebler bypass level chamber is connected laterally to the vessel via 2 process connections (flanged, threaded or welded) and is of metal (typically 316 Stainless Steel) or plastic construction. Indication is made through to the outer roller display via a non contact magnetic float arrangement. The KSR Kuebler Bypass Level Indicator part compromises of red/white plastic or ceramic rollers with bar magnets at 10 mm intervals. Through the directional magnetic field of the permanent magnet system in the cylindrical float, the magnetic rollers, through the wall of the bypass chamber, are turned through 180°. For an increasing level from white to red; for a falling level from red to white. Thus the bypass level indicator displays the level of a vessel without a power supply – visible as a red column.
KSR Kuebler Bypass Level indicators are common place in heavy industrial applications, such as oil and gas and petrochemical applications. Bypass Level indicators are available with Ex c ATEX approval. Additionally we can offer strap on switches and transmitters which have full Ex d and/or Ex ia ATEX approvals as necessary for your application. For critical applications, KSR Kuebler Bypass Level Indicators can be supplied in a bridle design. This bridle bypass design offers redundancy via a second chamber and diverse technology. This may mean that your product solution incorporates local, visual indication (roller display), upto 4 relay switches (HiHi through LoLo), level transmitter (4-20mA/HART) output from the magnetic float transfer and also via guided microwave level measurement in a secondary chamber (completely unaffected by float position).
