Dwyer SBLT2 Submersible Level Transmitters utilise hydrostatic pressure technology for level measurement. Hydrostatic level is ideal for foaming applications, where the instrument itself is submersed to the bottom of the tank and measures the liquid head level above. Level measurement is relative to water referenced to atmospheric pressure, although your associated PLC system may allow compensation for liquids of other density. When used with another level measurement technology (for example radar or ultrasonic) hydrostatic level sensors can be used to monitor liquid density.
The Dwyer SBLT2 transmitter consists of a piezo resistive sensing element. This is a proven robust and stable measurement technology. The sensor is encased in a 316 SS housing, suitable for many corrosive medias.
