Micatrone MFS-SS Stainless Steel Flow Sensor

The Micatrone MFS-SS is a flow sensor for measurement of velocity or flow of air and other gases. This instrument is recognized for presenting an accurate measurement of air flow in all types of air handling systems. The material of construction is self-averaging stainless steel and it can feature standard or special dimensions for different applications.


The MFS-SS forms an average of the velocity profile of the entire area of the duct by measuring the total pressure and the amplified flow influenced pressure. These form together a differential pressure which is proportional to the flow. Consequently, The average value of the air flow over the whole length of the sensor results in a pressure difference, out of which the total air flow or air velocity may be calculated.
