MTL5544 ATEX (4-20mA) isolation (dual channel)

MTL5544 provides provides fully-floating dc supplies for energising two conventional 2-wire or 3-wire 4/20mA or HART transmitters located in an (ATEX) hazardous area, and repeats the current in other circuits to drive two safe-area loads. For smart transmitters, the unit allows bi-directional transmission of digital communication signals superimposed on the 4-20mA loop current. Alternatively, the MTL5544 acts as a current sink for a safe-area connection rather than driving a current into the load


MTL5544 ATEX isolation specifications:

Note that in its default design, (model: MTL5544) the barrier is supplied in source function (ie this will power the 4-20mA loop going back to your control system, in the safe area).  We can also offer model: MTL5544/S which gives a sink function.  A “sink” barrier requires you to put your own supply on the control side.  Specify your requirements at quote stage with Fluidic.

For just single channel ATEX isolation, consider the MTL5541.
