Vaisala HPP270 probes are designed for demanding hydrogen peroxide bio-decontamination where repeatable, stable, and accurate measurement is essential. Vaisala HPP270 series probes are suitable for a variety of applications such as isolator, material transfer hatch, and room bio-decontamination.
The basic probe option, Vaisala HPP271 measures only H2O2 vapor concentration. The advanced option, Vaisala HPP272, provides all parameters required to measure during the bio-decontamination processes: hydrogen peroxide vapor, temperature, and humidity as relative saturation and relative humidity. Now also dew point and vapor pressure measurements are possible. Dehumidification is an extremely important part of the H202 process – the graph below shows a typical example of the efficiency of a dehumidified vs non-dehumidified process.
Intelligent measurement technology including the chemical purge function helps to maintain accuracy between calibrations in challenging H2O2 environments. The purging process involves rapid heating of the sensor to remove possible contamination. The PEROXCAP sensor used in the Vaisala HPP270 series probes is warmed, which prevents condensation from forming on the sensor. This provides reliable measurement even in condensing conditions.
The probes can be used with the optional Vaisala Indigo transmitters or as standalone probes. For easy-to-use access to configuration, calibration, and adjustment the probe can be connected to Vaisala Insight PC software.
