Vaisala HMP8 RH&T Probe for High Pressure Applications

Vaisala HMP8 probe is part of the Vaisala Indigo probe family for RH&T measurements.  This probe is specifically aimed at high pressure applications up to 40bar.  Typical applications include compressed air systems and refrigerant dryers.  Vaisala HMP8 is designed for used with a ball valve kit (Vaisala model: BALLVALVE-1) or via a direct mounted 1/2″BSP or 1/2″NPT pressure tight fitting.  The probe is available in two lengths, 230mm or 416mm (HMP8L).  The pressure tight fitting option is adjustable to ensure that the HUMICAP sensor tip is inserted to the most effective installation depth.

Vaisala HMP8 RH&T Probe for High Pressure Applications

  • Standard probe length of 230mm (see diagram in photos/datasheet)
  • Long probe (model: HMP8L) of length 416mm
  • High pressure applications up to 40bar
  • Optional ball valve (model: BALLVALVE-1) to allow in-situ retraction of probe
  • Vaisala HUMICAP Sensor technology for reliable, repeatable measurements
  • Optional Sensor purge can be enabled for automatic, periodic sensor cleaning
  • Modbus RTU over RS-485 output, or connection to Indigo transmitters (which have 4-20mA etc)
  • Cable length between probe and Indigo can be extended up to 30m total
  • Measurement 0-100%RH with uncertainty typically ±(0.5 to 0.8)% across the range
  • Pt100 Class F0.1 IEC 60751 temperature prob, typical uncertainty ±0.1ºC
  • Probe head operational up to +180ºC (note that limitations of ball valve is <100ºC)
  • IP66 Probe head
