Block and bleed manifolds allow isolation of your pressure instrument. This, in turn, allows removal of the pressure gauge, switch or transmitter for maintenance without interrupting the process. In addition, the “bleed” part of a b&b manifold, allows the instrument pressure to vent safely via a separate valve, in a controlled fashion, after isolation and before instrument removal. For flanged process connections to threaded instruments consider the Monoflange from Stewart Buchanan which reduces potential leak paths. Through our association with Stewart Buchanan, Fluidic offer a variety of needle and ball valve block and bleed manifolds.
Stewart Buchanan Block and Bleed Manifolds
All the above Stewart Buchanan block and bleed manifolds are pressure rated to 413bar (6000psi). In addition, Fluidic can suply pre-assembled to your instrument and hydrostatically pressure tested, generally to 1.5x the max working pressure. Block and bleed manifolds are available in a variety of materials, including exotic metals, to NACE standards and with material certification.
Another advantage of this device is that, by connecting a test gauge to the vent port, it is possible to check the calibration of the installed instrument without removing it from the installation.
Through our association with Stewarts, Fluidic also offer block and bleed isolation manifolds. Consider the L2 manifold with integral swivel adapter which reduces the number of potential leak paths. See photo graph above left.
Fluidic are an authorised distributor of Stewart Buchanan. We have a team of engineers able to help with your entire instrument application, including manifolds and pressure transmitters etc. Our engineers are product trained and familiar with a variety of different installations.
